A Lesson on Anticipation versus Expectation.

A Thought Adjuster Speaks - Lesson # 42
February 12, 2004.

It is best when you expect nothing, and yet have the glad anticipation and trust in the goodness of God. This is a faith-building growing into a knowing that all is well; that God is good all the time. It takes the negativity away from life, because you will live in the surety that whatever may befall you, things will ultimately work out well, and there will always be light at the end of the dark tunnel you seemingly may find yourself in. A positive outlook on life attracts positive situations to you, because it is the energy which attracts or repels. So it is when you are always in a negative or pessimistic bend, you will then attract negativity.

This is all a matter of choice, and entirely within your own power when you make decisions. It is very important to be in a present-centered awareness, because too often important decisions are made without thinking about the consequences. And yet, even bad or so-called wrong decisions can be made alright, so the outcome when looking back may have been the best decision, because of the lessons learned and the wisdom gained through the experience, which could not have been learned otherwise. Each path in life offers its own opportunities for learning.

It is ultimately the purpose of life to live it to the best of your ability, and it is the honest intent which counts and reverberates into eternity. For mortals it is often a fine line to know the difference between a good or a bad decision. It depends on honesty and the integrity used to obtain these results. It is not good for the soul’s interest if the personality makes a choice and decides to take advantage of another person, who might not be as smart as they are. It all boils down to the Golden Rule: ‘What you do not wish to be done to you, do not do to others’. All are equal in God’s sight and all intentions are known before they are acted upon.

It is a wise mortal indeed, who realizes that he or she is totally responsible for his or her own life. It is all in the attitude towards life, and the anticipation thereof. Personality is made strong through self-discipline towards self-mastery, and this entails to live life in a conscious awareness in every moment of everyday living. The greatest handicap is the self, who has not learned, or refuses to learn, to turn within and listen to the Inner Guide, who will unerringly lead you God-ward.
