Maintaining Balance.

Ambrose: “Greetings, dear ones. This morning I would like to talk about balance.

“The life mechanism embodies four specific levels of being, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There are many people living on this world today that still recognize but one level, that being the physical. They do not realize that the other three components are equally as much a part of their being.

“Think for a moment if you will, of giving the physical body exercise. If you were to concentrate this exercise in only one part of the body, it would become overdeveloped, and other parts of the body would suffer for lack of exercise. In this same way, when too much emphasis is put on any level, we become out of balance, and when one level suffers, all levels suffer. It is necessary that there be an integrated flow of energy between all four levels in order to develop as a fully functioning human.

“It is unfortunate that upon this world life must be lived in such a hurried fashion, with so many time constraints and stresses on the individual that there remains little energy at the end of day to address this issue. Yet, to ignore it, is to ignore your over all health. In order to rectify this, we would like to encourage each of you to set yourself a schedule, with time being allotted for energizing each of the four levels.

“There will be time given to intellectual pursuits, reading and the like; time for exercise at least three times a week, although daily is best, if possible, time to develop your spiritual muscles, twice daily Stillness practice will accomplish this, and one must feed one’s emotional body, which is accomplished by and through all other levels being maintained.

“Try setting yourself a goal of creating and following a balanced routine for the next two weeks. At the end of the time period, take a personal inventory. Look for changes in function, especially emotional attitude. You may be surprised to find that life seems gentler, less stressful somehow, with your approach to life being a good bit more joyful. So ends today’s lesson. Go into this day knowing you are loved and blessed. Shalom.”
