Thought Adjuster: “Every time you feel the desire to come to Me, it means that I have already come to you. Your Thought Adjuster works tirelessly to elevate your thoughts and promote communion with the Father. Sometimes you listen and, in some way, feel the need for closeness with God because, at the level of your higher mind, you have already sensed His presence and His touch. Your desire to draw closer to the Father is a reflection of the Adjuster’s growing connection with your mortal mind.
Although it may be helpful for you to express this connection in words and lessons that guide you in your efforts to live, many times the most important and significant impact of this connection cannot be explained with words and may not have an immediate application in your mortal life. The relationship you are establishing with God is a relationship for the eternal future, an endless friendship that will find its full expression only in eternity. You are barely at the preparatory stage, like a small child beginning to explore an ever-expanding world.
At this stage of your existence, your desire to draw closer to the Father, to know His will, and to try to express His divine nature in your own life is all you need, and it is the principal impulse that promotes your spiritual growth. Yes, many improvements will be observed in your life, and you will reap many of the fruits of the spirit, but keep in mind that this is a stage of learning, a stage that extends into eternity until your “graduation” as a finaliter. Do not be saddened by the apparent smallness of your achievements. They are exactly what you need.
The life that I inspire you to live is not an easy life from the mortal point of view. However, it is an exciting life, filled with deeper satisfactions and opportunities to become better and better. Human beings may consider an easy life to be one in which things turn out the way they want most of the time. However, these shortsighted beings deprive themselves of knowing true joy and experiencing the highest pleasures of human existence—knowing God and expressing the Father’s divinity through their individual personality. Once mortals have tasted these delights of the soul, they will not want to go back.
Faith is another name for this desire to find God, a desire fueled only by the sincere hope of finding Him. For a long time during your ascending journey, you will have to depend on this faith to compensate for the limitations of your perspective regarding the infinite greatness of the Father. Faith is the human expression of those ineffable sensations that the morontial soul attempts to convey to the material mind. It is through faith—through sincere desire—that your mind becomes sensitive to supermaterial influence and manages to transcend its state, drawing even closer to eternity, the realm from which the Father continually extends His love to all His children scattered throughout the universes.”
