Subject: “Fear-Ridden or Faith Driven?”

Lot was the nephew of the Old Testament patriarch Abraham. He was a man who seemed to be significantly influenced by his environment. As long as he accompanied his godly uncle Abraham, he managed to stay out of trouble. But when he got away from Abraham's good example and moved to the city of Sodom, he was distressed by the evil going on about him. Yet, he did not work up the initiative to leave Sodom. God considered Lot and his family righteous, so he saved them. On the verge of Sodom’s destruction, two angels led Lot, his wife, and two daughters away. His wife turned and looked back. Immediately she turned into a pillar of salt.
Thought Adjuster: “The irrefutable evidence of planetary dysfunction adversely impacts the emotional wellbeing of this generation. Many of those professing to follow in the footsteps of Jesus have in fact, defected to the side of the “people of the fear,” a far cry from the can-do attitude exhibited by the authentic “people of the faith.”
The weight of the world did rest on Jesus’ human shoulders, as he assumed the staggering responsibility to be a planetary savior. How could he remain upbeat amid so many cruel, personal and collective disappointments?
A defeatist attitude will yield more setbacks due to the universal law of attraction. Just as Lot’s family was advised not to turn around to look at Sodom, people of faith should refrain from obsessing about the ambient gloom-and-doom that metaphorically turns them into unproductive pillars of salt — cursing them with debilitating depressions.
Your imagination holds great powers of positive manifestation. Stop playing a part in the global dysfunction you denounce. By envisioning best-case scenarios, you set the co-creative wheels of positive change into motion, thus exerting a positive countereffect on the influx of bad news, which, if given free rein, keep adding to the festering pot of toxic emotions — a loose-loose predicament.
Jesus judiciously CHOSE to keep his sight focused on the objective of the ages—light and life. It is how he acquired emotional self-mastery during his short earthly sojourn. His inspirational “Follow Me” admonishes YOU to adopt a similar emotional stance, thus developing immunity against the “demotivational” victim mentality. Focus on the solutions instead of obsessing about the problems.”

The Beloved: “To Increase your faith, all you have to do is to turn within and stay awhile to enjoy a true rest. Your faith will receive an infusion when you feel My nearness, which is a balm for the soul. You already know that even in your loneliness, you are never really alone.
The more you develop your faith and trust in this process of listening to Me, the more you will cultivate your inner security and calmness. Consider our project to be like a beautiful garden, where you tend your flowers of faith and from which a few more weeds of unbelief need to be removed.
The human mind is many sided, and there are always trapdoors through which niggling doubts slip in, to once again disturb your peace of mind.
Know that the longer you stay and the more often you come to Me, the more successful you will be in taking Me with you in your daily life. For then you will have invited Me to consciously be in the background of all your thoughts.
This is truly what I desire of you – a greater consciousness of My indwelling presence. The sooner you comprehend this, the sooner you can access Me in your daily life, and thus will I be able to point out the best direction for you to take.
Right now, I am still under-utilized in your life. In accepting this – My plea to you – I will be better able to spiritize your mind, and for you to tap into My resources.
You can see yourself as an explorer, sailing uncharted waters, however, with Me as your Pilot, you have nothing to fear.
So, come. So, partake and participate.”

“Is faith—the supreme assertion of human thought — desirable? Then must the mind of man find itself in that troublesome predicament where it ever knows less than it can believe.
Is the love of truth and the willingness to go wherever it leads, desirable? Then must man grow up in a world where error is present and falsehood always possible.” [UB, 3:5.10]
Thought Adjuster: “You are inquiring about the nature of faith. Is it a divine gift or a choice? Can a man have faith thanks to the knowledge of truth? Is it God who puts faith in his heart, or does it grow from his choice to believe in God?
My answer is ‘All of the above.’ Faith is both a divine gift and a choice. How else, as free will creatures, could you get to KNOW the reality of your divine progenitor? The mind-boggling intelligence you witness at work in the entire creation should be reason enough for you to take your first leap of faith. Most assuredly, you have all the necessary endowments to succeed in your ascension journey back in the fullness of the divine embrace.
During the embryonic phase of your soul’s evolution, you have the status of Agondonters — those who believe without seeing. What you may label as a handicap prompts you to grow in faith and courage. Faith initiatives do require bravery. Unbeknownst to many of you, you are plugged into the benevolent network of the Seven Adjuvant Mind Spirits:
By then, your spiritual eyes are wide open, and you no longer operate on “blind” faith. From this perspective, you can see that faith is a crucial driving force in your quest for reliable and enlightening truth.”

The Beloved: “How satisfying it is My child when you reach out for Me, so I can answer you immediately.
The benefits of soul growth, of creature faith and trust, are immeasurable by your world’s standards, except by their showing forth the fruits of the spirit. The fruits you are daily exhibiting to Me, are courageous loyalty in you persistent seeking of Me.
It is so easy for the human mind to go off on a tangent and to lose focus. This training to keep your focus is extremely important, because I am to teach you the deeper things of spirit. Therefore, it becomes needful for you to be totally immersed in Me. This will have greater benefits than you can presently imagine.
I am ready, always ready, to lead you deeper into Me, but as per usual I need to wait until you show a readiness. Needless to say, it all depends upon your faith and trust, and your willingness to grow.
I am enticing you to place more trust in matters of eternal import, rather than in the subject of instant gratification and greed, which is at the basis of most problems in this world.
It is wonderful for you to enlarge your view of the world, so you may realize that everything has its own place on your planet, including its manifold problems – which would be so easy to solve if each soul would seek for her or his indwelling Spirit of the one Creator God.”

Thought Adjuster: “The Father has given His creatures the opportunity to participate in creation itself. As a Creator, the Father achieves the satisfaction of expressing His ideas as reality and He has decided not to restrict or monopolize it, but to generously share this sublime satisfaction with all His children. As mortal evolutionary beings you also have the opportunity to become a means of expression for the designs of the Father, with expressions that are colored by your original personality.
This creative capacity is not limited to things that are external to your personality. Your creative gifts also give you the opportunity to participate in the creation of your own being and your own eternal destiny. At the beginning, this participation is restricted by your immaturity and your limited vision of reality. As you identify better with the Divine Presence within your being and your will becomes more like the will of the Father, you will start to actively choose the path toward eternal life and you will be participating in the creation of a new being – an unprecedented combination of God and human, for all creation.
Now, as material beings, you cannot completely control all the processes involved in your life. Your body and your mind must still be subjected to the physical and chemical interactions of the energies of the material world. Later, as you start to comprehend the will of the Father better and you choose to participate in His universal plan, your control over your self will advance equally, up to the point where you will be entirely responsible and in complete control of the expression of your personality.
Such great freedom has the Father offered, that even His lowest creatures can contribute to their own creation and progress! Do not forget that this starts here and now, in the world where you currently live. The natural evolution of an inhabited world happens on its own until the apparition of intelligent life – those beings with the capacity to know God and do His will. From that moment on, the evolution starts ceding control to these human minds that, depending on their spiritual maturity, are able to manage their world with increasing wisdom.
Now in Urantia, the destiny of your world, your civilization, and your species, is increasingly under your control. The future of your sphere depends on your wisdom and the individual desire of each one of you to reach perfection. You are responsible for whatever is won or lost on this planet. You are the ones who can fix the mistakes of the past to walk towards light and life. Nobody else will be blamed for the evils that happen here. Nobody else will enjoy the glory of having participated in the transformation of a retrograde world into a sphere of truth, beauty, and goodness – a faithful expression of the divine designs. It only depends on you, on each and every one of you. May everyone do their part.”
