Thought Adjuster: “Individual spiritual progress is, to certain extent, independent of the collective progress – the progress of civilization or the world. Today, there are many individuals on this planet that have reached an intellectual and spiritual development that is not too different from the one of an average human being thousands of years ago. In contrast, two thousand years ago a man lived a life at the same level that is normally reached on worlds long established in light and life.
“Human beings are influenced by their environment. Culture and human relations are very influential factors to the degree of spiritual progress a person can achieve. Ideally, those who are born to families and in cultures where spirituality is considered important, will have more opportunities to find the Father in their hearts than do those born in societies without any religious inclinations.
“However, personal spiritual progress is always the result of human decisions. Human beings possess a will and if a person learns how to control this resource and becomes the master of her destiny, that person can be independent of her environment, her culture, her society, and the limitations of her surroundings to rise above mediocrity and come closer to her true essence. This act of courage represents true salvation, the effort of a man or a woman to be truly free and become the best they can aspire to be.
“Therefore, children of Urantia, do not lament the apparent lack of opportunities around you. Do not despair for the lack of spiritual progress or the regression that seems evident each time you watch the news. Do not let yourselves be overcome by sadness when you see how some rape and pillage your world as if it was only for them. None of that can stop a sincere soul that wishes to find the Father and understand His will.
“Inaugurate today the age of light and life in your heart and live as if you were already in the presence of the Father. Imagine the most beautiful person, filled with light, wisdom, and unconditional love for her peers and be that person. The things you create in your mind are the things you can manifest. Each human being living in light and life is one more step in the right direction – towards the elevation of this world. Only accepting and cultivating the light within you will be able to illuminate and guide others.”

Subject: “The Art of Experiencing Defeat.”

“There is an art in defeat which noble souls always acquire; you must know how to lose cheerfully; you must be fearless of disappointment.” [UB 1779:05].
Thought Adjuster: “Both losing and winning can serve as practice runs toward self-mastery — the emotional prowess exhibited by the ‘noble’ souls who refuse to get bitter and always strive to get better. You have been at both ends of the spectrum.
“Your world proliferates with both winners and losers. Sadly, the word ‘loser’ is often tainted with a negative connotation when contempt is dished out to the ‘losing party’ in place of heartfelt empathy and compassion. Such a condescending attitude makes things even worse, and both parties end up on the losing side. It is what happened to both Cain and Abel. Isn’t it time to learn from their bitter experience?
“What if? What if Abel had not been arrogant toward his disappointed brother? What if Cain had been able to shake up his foul mood, understanding that life would unfailingly provide him with renewed opportunities to prove his worth? Maybe both brothers would have found immediate closure in a brotherly hug.
“Losing cheerfully does not imply some twisted emotional perversion on your part. It has to do with emotional maturity — a world of difference between self-centered pity parties and a healthy perception of your ‘self-importance.’ You do matter, but the world does not merely revolve around you.
“As well, the fear of disappointment prevents many from giving a try to the mastery of challenging predicaments. Figure ice-skaters reach their stunning level of skills by enduring many painful falls. Then, the merciless ice is perceived as a harsh disciplinarian while, at other times, it is the shimmering arena of their beautiful choreographies.
“Defeat stings enough by itself. Why add to it a plethora of ‘losing’ emotions such as bitterness, resentment, jealousy, and the release of venom toward the winner? Wouldn’t it be far more noble to rally around the winning party to celebrate its achievements, instead of pouting and concocting evil plots to ‘get even’? ‘Getting even’ should never be misconstrued as exacting revenge. Instead, it should be an invite for the ‘loser’ to try harder and rise to the level of the winner by noble and righteous means.”

The Beloved One: “Each task set before you is a lesson to be learned. If a task seems repetitive, it is because you have yet to learn more as lessons can be expanded upon so you can gain a greater and deeper understanding you would otherwise miss out on. This is called, the garnering of wisdom.
“You realize, it is not the growing old that matters. It is the growing wiser that is of prime importance. It is an understanding that motivates you when you ‘fly off the handle’ in certain situations. Could it be something you have not as yet mastered? Then indeed, it follows that there is more work to be done in the area of self-discipline, for it is My desire as much as it is yours, that you cultivate a harmonious character poised in beauty and grace.
“Knowing you as well as I do, I know that more self-correction would be very beneficial towards self-mastery, and that is why certain circumstances will arise to test you, in order for you to discover how much you have gained.
“You are making progress in self-control when you immediately turn within to My calming presence. Let this thought take a strong hold on you. Let it sink into your cellular level, so you will not forget this. I have placed you in the most ideal of circumstances to learn this most difficult lesson amid the most trying of situations.
“I know you will eventually come to see this My way, I have the greatest confidence in you that you shall overcome all, as I know the most intimate and secret desires of your heart.
“I am the one, who totally understands your frustrations at not being understood, and having your words misconstrued. Remember however, that everyone needs to master their lessons in their own time, after they show a readiness therefore.
“Each mortal is at his or her personal level of inner development and self-correction. The older and wiser ones need to by example teach the younger ones this often-times painful lesson in self-control. Do not ever grow discouraged when you are tested, and find that you still have a way to go towards an ideal balance in all manner of things.
“Remember to turn within to Me, especially when frustrated or upset.”

The Scribe: “We have given your subscriber’s request lengthy but adequate thought. We take into consideration that we have an acceptable method of explaining to you how we consider your world’s preparedness for the introduction of new revelation to be sufficient.
“Firstly, however, the Creator, Michael, His being a God, knew He would die on the cross. As a human, Jesus, and for the longest time, did not and could not know what awaited Him. Only toward the end did the Human/God, Creator/Man, understand His choice of departure from this world as being significant enough and of great impact together with his glorious resurrection to become an overall major plus for Him to ‘live on’ in the lives of His believers, His followers and many, many others.
“You, my student, might have decided that it was the wrong time for Michael to come to earth but although you can foresee, you don’t do this very well. No mortel does. What I am endeavoring to explain to you here is that there is a right time to trigger and aid a spiritual advance if we can foresee a positive result for our efforts. There would be no failure! The God/Man, Jesus has hardly been forgotten on this planet. To the contrary, His popularity has grown. There was one serious failure, however, and that deals with the indwelling Father Fragment. The most delightful news about the Thought Adjuster (TA) became lost.
“Always bear in mind that to those on High, time is not all that important. It’s only some 2000 years since your Creator walked this earth and in the meantime the knowledge of the TA has not been altogether lost. It was not altogether understood either and from ancient times the Creator of all was ‘an angry, jealous God’. What is more, many of the early priests thought themselves to be indwelt but not so the members of their congregations and that was often partly true. Thus common people were often seen more like the animals by the priests, who saw themselves more like royalty, sometimes above royalty.
“Since the indwelling Adjuster is the forgotten part of Michael’s message to you all, I charge you all, you 11:11 associated receivers to all do your best in spreading the word, like Jesus did, that the Father is all love and lives in all.
“I AM the Scribe of Damascus and so far I notice that I still own My town. Be blessed, be true. Good day.”

Subject: “Why Spurn The Perfect Guide Within?”

The Beloved One: “Confronting your imperfections can be very disturbing and also very healing, because it becomes a reason to dig beeper into yourself, and finding My Will to guide you into better and more perfect ways.
“It is during the low points in the human spirit and emotions that the greatest growing spurt may come about. It represents a letting go of selfishness and a ‘tapping into the vat’ of humility.
“At times humans need to be confronted by their smallness, so they can take heart that better things may be on the way. Having humility is to know your humanness. It is the dawning realization of the majesty of God, for a humbling experience is in actuality a growth spurt, the scaffolding of the building of character. Sooner or later, all humans will attain their place in the ‘pecking order’ of life.
“Those who think themselves to be high and above everyone else, shall be brought low, whilst those who deem themselves to be unworthy and low, shall be elevated as sons and daughters of God.
“In life’s journey everyone goes through painful adjustment of these lessons. Those who ‘drink deeply’ of those lessons and learn from them, are being guided into the higher way of life. Others who are not so deeply affected and ‘scarred’ in doing battle with their selves in overcoming their lower nature, will eventually learn. The realization will dawn upon them that they, too, are to humble themselves before God.
“It is forever true, that those who deem themselves to be already perfect will in later times need to do a lot of remedial work. Others who do a lot of correcting in their selves in this life, in subduing their baser impulses, and in trying to listen to the will of God within them, are ahead of others on the road to perfection.
“It is not always easy, but success is always assured when inner prompts and guidelines are followed. Truly, why spurn the Perfect Guide within?
“Take time to listen, for it is the surest way to advance.”
