Subject: “Life Beyond this Material Life.”

Thought Adjuster: “It is a sign of spiritual awakening to become interested in preparing for the life beyond this material life. In order to know what is needed to reach the Mansion worlds at a higher level of spirituality it is necessary to consider what the purpose of a human life is — to know your Father better and to align your will with His will. This is the only thing you need to do in this world in order to get the highest marks on your mortal experiences.
“We have used the analogy of life as a school before but it is convenient to clarify that the graduation system — the way in which the achived results are measured — is very different to the one used in the schools of Urantia. Reaching the mansion world does not imply a reward for the efforts of your material life. Everyone is free to enjoy all the wonders that are available for mortals beyond this world, regardless of the level of spirituality that you have reached on this earth. You will not be treated any different by your more advanced siblings in the mansion worlds nor will you experience any kind of discrimination based on your spiritual achievements of the past.
“On the mansion worlds there is a more advanced philosophy of life that is based on mutual love and understanding and where every creature sincerely makes an effort to be the best he or she can be. Those who learn to live in such a way on this earth — loving their peers, implicitaly trusting in the goodwill of their neighbors in the flesh and offering unconditional love — will be better prepared to live in the morontial communities than those who seek only their own benefit and their own exhaltation above others. These latter ones would have to go through a period of adjustment in order to adapt to the life in their new environment after they abandon their mortal garments.
“But there is a reward for those who learned to be closer to their Father through His presence within the human mind. Once they awaken on the shores of the mansion worlds, the still voice that used to guide them through the adventures of their lives will speak much louder and the arrival of these mortals to that new world will be accompanied by the welcome of their eternal Partners, their Thought Adjusters, who will now exert a more powerful incluence becoming a more effective Teacher for those who learned early to hear His voice. It would be then when you will rejoice in the knowledge that you are another step closer to your final goal — the personal encounter with your Father on Paradise.”

The Beloved One: “Let us dwell for a moment on the incredible love the Creator has for all His creatures. For you mortals it is hard to comprehend that the Master’s hand is behind everything you see — the grandiose forethought, the almighty wisdom and the infinite love to see everything to perfection.
“Therefore, after creating innumerable perfect beings, God decided to make imperfect beings with the potential for them to become perfect.
“The greatest gift the Creator gave these imperfect beings after life itself, was the priceless gift of free will to choose from the numerous choices available to them and to become co-creators with Him on the way to Paradise.
“Such is the adventure into eternal life.
“In humankind are hidden great potentials, as yet dormant and undiscovered, ready to be awakened, for them to explore which lessons are best on the road to perfection.
“The Creator desires that His creatures discover his great love for them through personal experience, yet their minds rarely understand. In times past in their primitive urges to worship, they made charms and fetishes. They build stone altars and even used living creatures as sacrifices to appease their numerous gods whenever a calamity befell them.
“Humankind has been, over 2000 years ago, set free from all superstitions, bondage and fears by the exemplary life of your Master Jesus, a Creator Son of God, Who lived as a Son of Man.
“He has forever set humankind free from their spiritual slavery and proclaimed that God is an unconditionally loving Being. Yet even today human minds seem slow to understand that there is a Grand Design to life.
“Think about what this means to you personally, to be alive in these stirring times. Many mortals everywhere are now coming to the realization that there is more to life than meets the eye.
“They are awakening to the fact that there has to be a better way. Some are beginning to answer the call of Spirit within them by turning into the Silence in their hearts. They are learning to listen, realizing that there is a ‘destination’ — from imperfection to perfection, from mortality to immortality.”

The Scribe: “The truth as one sees it, my student, is different for every single member in your community and of your diverse races on our planet. Not one person sees truth as does another. And such individual views of truth include firstly the past, secondly the status quo or present, as well as thirdly, the future. In truth, what you and your kin know about truth, as your eminent celestial Teachers will know, is a pale, sun-bleached version of the truth . . . hardly recognizable.
“Your celestial Teachers are the most mature we can find on Manson World Seven — at times further afield — and they hardly ever will quibble amongst themselves about the way a lesson is to be presented. If, however, there is a difference of opinion it inevitably deals with your truth, the known-and-understood records of things past, your reality about your present, or your expectations of the future. This, my human friend, is a very deep subject and we will do no more today than carefully dip our toes into this somewhat muddy pool of past happenings . . . and only for a very short time.
“I will begin by saying that God did not bury bones in the earth for these bones to become a later surprise for archeologists and for other people to either confound them or amuse them. In time, your machines that will look deep into the earth and into the rocks will be infinitely more advanced than the things you now wave about and that go ‘beep-beep-beep’. You need to discover beyond doubt just what it was that happened on your planet and for how long and accept those things before we, your Teachers, are willing to refer to them in greater detail.
“See it this way: We have a difficult-enough task to plant new spiritual concepts in your minds without disrupting your established and simpler beliefs too much. If you can believe that the vast majority of celestial groupings, celestial species, are still unknown to you, then you might realize how little you comprehend of what perhaps dwelt on this earth a hundred million years ago. It is not for me to convince you that in antiquity huge rocks, weighing more than 100 tons, were cut from a rock-face with precision and transported over great distances. It is not for me to assure you that with some matter of regularity many huge skeletons are and were unearthed that measured 15 feet and more.
“In all seriousness, your world-wide spiritual progress is our main concern. Your planet’s past is for you to personally research. I Am the Damascus Scribe.”

“Love is the essence of religion and the wellspring of superior civilization.” [UB 1124.05]
Thought Adjuster: “The above statement is well worth pondering. Indeed, there cannot be a true religion — in the unifying sense of the word — without love. I am not speaking here of a mere mental allegiance to what you conceive as love, as love has been greatly misunderstood and thereby desecrated.
“True love is love in action — not the mere status quo of tolerating others, even though love encompasses genuine heartfelt tolerance. Yet, at times, being tolerant of others limits itself to cohabitating peacefully — not going as far as inviting them into your living quarters.
“Effective religious lives are infused with Love in Action. They matter, as they leave an uplifting emotional mark on a multitude of lives. Their outreach has a ripple effect that invigorates other hearts and inspires them to partake in a beautiful chain reaction of positive and constructive actions.
“Love HAS TO BE respectful. If it lacks this element, it is not Love. Period. On the other hand, such a respect-infused Love acts as a heart opener. Surely, you have personally experienced how instantly disrespect slams the door of your heart shut as a protective measure.
“It is much advisable in these chaotic times to examine your ‘love life’. Religion can act as its cradle; yet, it has to ‘transpire’ in all areas of the human experience — from the family unit to the civilization.
“Sadly, the two most essential elements of a religious experience are often missing. You may love your kin. What about your enemies? Are you tolerant or intolerant toward them? Do you respect them or do you drag them in the mud of your sarcastic, disparaging, and disrespectful demeanors?
“How could Christianity exert any force of attraction if it is devoid of the love and respect that should be its trademark?
“Dear ones, do not emulate others’ intransigent behaviors, thus allowing them to mold your own. Remain in your integrity and keep advocating Love in Action by being respectfully loving. It is as simple as that! Yet, even though it is your true nature, it takes much practice to awaken these dormant attributes — attributes that, once activated, have the power to upgrade your civilization. Indeed, the united forces of Love in Action are unstoppable and will claim victory in the days of Light of Life.”

The Beloved One: “Again, this is a moment in eternity. Eternity is made up of moments such as these, for every sincere seeker who is prepared to listen with an open heart and mind, as to what the Creator of all is willing to impart.
“You can have no concept of the light and purity that is being beamed into you when you listen to the still Voice — a Fragment of the eternal God.
“Can you really understand what it means to you that the mighty Creator God has seen fit to gift you with a Fragment of Himself?
“It’s indwelling you occurred when you made your first moral decision when still a child — a conscious choice between good and bad.
“This momentous occasion occurs on this planet between the ages of five to seven approximately. A small child needs an inner compass to help and guide it in the right direction towards its eternal destiny.
“Unwittingly, a great number of parents ‘contaminate’ the child with their fears and superstitions. The Universal Creator has gifted His mortal children with a curious and seeking mind, which needs to develop in the younger ones with the help and guidance of the elder care givers.
“However, in this materialistic and electronic age, the inactivity in front of a television set, slot machines and more, threatens this development. How many children are interested in reading books, to develop their minds and use their imagination to invent games, to be engaged in competitive sports to help develop healthy bodies and a team spirit, or learn how to get along with others?
“The human spirit needs room to grow and develop itself. This it does by being actively engaged in wholesome activities. Parents need to limit and control the hours spent with electronic equipment.
“Roundtable discussions and parents playing games together with their children create a family bonding and security in the children. If the parents are too busy and stressed out, who will form their children’s minds? Nurture and first rate care are needed and provided with love.
“Life is a playground filled with opportunities. Investigate the potentials for development and come to Me in the Stillness for guidance.”
