Thought Adjuster: “What type of relationship do you entertain in your mind? Have you ever thought about it this way? There are so many types of possible relationships, just as it is the case between individuals. Some are loving and others are abusive. Some are liberating, others are controlling. Some are focused and exclusive, others are uncommitted and superficial. You get the idea.
“Are you a friend or a foe of your mind? Are you in a collaborative partnership or in a power struggle? Are you giving your mind its righteous place at the control tower of your being or are you subjugating it to the impulses of your electro-chemical body? These questions need to be asked and answered in order for you to establish the rightful order of things — both internally and externally.
“Many of you complain that they are unable to sit still, as their thinking is going all over the place, distracting them from the Stillness. Isn’t it the validation that something needs to be done about it? How otherwise could you ever find inner peace?
“Compare your mind to a wild horse that you are setting out to tame. First of all, you will have to catch it and lead it to a fenced area. Then you will have to carefully approach it without causing it to buck. You may entice it with a carrot and establish an eye to eye connection — a bond of trust. Then the time will come to saddle it. You will give it adequate time to get used to the weight of the saddle, before mounting it . . . and so on.
“You need to approach the taming of your mind in a similar fashion — in small increments. It has to be done in quiet surroundings to set up optimal conditions. Tell your mind what you intend to do with it and use your willpower to control its unruly part. Indeed, it may at first be a battle of wills — the will of your Higher Self versus the temper tantrums of your smaller self. Your Higher Self is the part of you that needs to saddle up and gain control. Liken it to the personal challenge thrown by those who compete in rodeos and manage to stay in the saddle in spite of the bucking of the animal.
“I promise you that your efforts will not be in vain. I also promise you that, once you have domesticated your unruly mind, it will become a trusty companion.”

The Scribe: “Dear One, for those who are seeking to expand their spiritual understanding and achieve enlightenment in their life on Urantia, there is no greater way than to ‘make real’ the relationship they have with their Indwelling Spirit of the Father — the Thought Adjuster (TA). Being a Personalized Adjuster, I know wherefore I speak. I AM Chief of Adjusters on Urantia and I AM in communication with all TAs on the planet. I AM privy to the data that shows the progress of Adjuster attunement world-wide and there is a great opportunity at present for all those who are willing to ‘make real’ their relationship and become participants in the Universal Father’s Great Plan.
“We (your teachers) have been speaking in repetition to you about this ‘theme’ for very good reason, and it is now possible for all humans to have this relationship with varying degrees of contact. There are developing systems and circuits of energy in place within the Planetary Supreme and in the very energetic systems of your own being that allow for this greater degree of contact that have never thus been on your planet. In all the epics of planetary development that are approaching Light and Life status, it is the Thought Adjusters who have led the way in the personal development of mind and thought that has changed the tide of events in social and political evolution. Urantia has entered this critical period in its development (correction) where these new energies and circuits are needed to foster future growth.
“Many of you read these messages and take away a ‘warm fuzzy feeling’ at best and never seriously consider that within your mind lives an actual Fragment of the Creator of all things that can and will work with you in the co-creation of a beautiful life. This is not a fairy tale, it is a true reality, and now, more than ever, do you have a chance to expand your awareness with this Divine Spark through these new energetic circuits. Even without your participation, the TAs have a greater degree of influence in your mind and thoughts. This takes nothing away from your free will or your choice to ignore the leading of your Indwelling Spirit, but it may present you with a greater awareness of the options you have to improve your lives and co-create weightier souls.
“For those humans who are driven by their egos, there may be periods of great inner turmoil as they begin to ‘feel’ things which they do not understand. It may manifest in a variety of ways that may appear to work against their greater good, yet these personal tribulations are necessary. Spirit poisons dull the psychic senses and confuse the heart. Constant distraction quells the beauty of creative thought. I admonish you to think deeply with the heart — it is in this deep place of thought where the Spirit speaks to the conscious mind and where these new circuits begin to ripen.

The Beloved One: “Only a soul that trusts Me enough, is willing to be led in the direction I desire for it to go and to garner the experiences needed for soul-growth. Sometimes I lead you into places to assist someone by bringing a smile, to give an encouraging word or to send some loving, healing thoughts when you hear of someone who is ill.
“All things, acts, thoughts and intentions are known in Heaven. Nothing escapes the omniscience of the Creator God of Everything. Only the worthwhile experiences, which have edified and nourished the soul and helped it grow, shall remain.
“Be ever watchful about where you may be of loving service. Be ever aware that you are God’s representative, wherever you find yourself on this earth. Awakening human beings everywhere are beginning to realize their holy calling and are becoming the peacemakers and healers on this sorrowful planet.
“This planet is also a living, breathing child of the Creator, albeit of a different order. However, she is going through much travail at present. Abuse, rape, pilfering and all sorts of other scandalous things are being perpetrated upon her innocent being. Her beautiful face is scarred and burned.
“Even her precious atmosphere, meant for all living things upon her, is being poisoned by thoughtless unenlightened mortals, who have allowed themselves to be led by greed and so have fallen into gross darkness, which a fallen prince from Heaven wrought eons ago.
“This nefarious fog is lifting, for the prince of darkness is no more. Only his death-throws are still being felt and are sadly taking with them many ignorant people, who neither give a thought to the life hereafter, nor to how they can be of loving service assisting their soul-growth.
“Truly, humankind is living through one of its most remarkable and precarious periods in planetary history. People everywhere have a need to wake up and become active as healers and peacemakers for their selves, their surroundings, and for this most precious blue orb in space.

Thought Adjuster: “Sometimes you have doubts about your activities on this earth; your work and your way of generating resources for survival. The confusion is in the approach you have given to these activities. Your main focus should be on service. Ask yourself: ‘How can you put the gifts that have been given to you, at the service of others?’ ‘How can you support the growth and evolution of the people around you?’ ‘How can you help their lives on Earth to have more peace and love?’
“Right from the moment you focus your activities on the service and the contribution you can make to others, you will discover the engine that will move you to do what you have to do.
“And the results will not only be that you will touch and change the lives of many people, but your own life will change, be enriched, be transformed, grow and evolve.
“Then stop worrying about you, your decisions, your successes or mistakes. Focus on putting yourself at the service of others and how you can lead them to live in peace and love. As a result, you yourself will live in peace and love.

Samuel: “I wish to talk with you today about languages and how over lengthy periods — at times quite short intervals — the meanings of certain terms and words tend to go through ‘concept changes.’ Yes. Your living languages do change, and individual words and terms can change, shift in meaning to be understood as something different entirely. ‘Justice done’ is one such term.
“It is most often used in relation to appropriate punishment having been meted out, rarely now cited in a positive way in cases of due rewards being granted, or wrongs being righted.
“This is your Friend and Teacher Samuel of Panoptia and the subject to be touched upon today deals with the Ego. The concept, ‘Ego,’ is one such term that has undergone this subtle shift in meaning, at least in common use. But there is nothing wrong with ego. It is in fact an essential commodity and an integral part of the personality.
“The term, Ego, is generally viewed in a negative light - egotistical, a big ego — you all know these terms. And where it concerned your ancient ancestors, ‘big egos’ might well have made the difference between survival and extinction. Yes, ego plays its role in ‘survival of the fittest,’ if we can here borrow Darwin’s words, and ego is important to the individual, as well as to the family and even to the extended group.
“It is all throughout your terrestrial journey that ego plays an important role as a survival mechanism. Likewise is it essential in your ages upon ages of morontial (pre-spirit) lives, for it allows you to more clearly discern fairness. A more balanced ego will openly and honestly compare, ‘would this be fair to me, therefore would it be fair to another?’ as your free-will prerogatives will place you in positions of having to make bigger and more important decisions effecting your siblings.
“All throughout your eternal careers and unto Paradise will you be students at one stage, teachers at another or both simultaneously. It so happens! Yes. And at all times must you treat another correctly, fairly and courteously, as you would wish to be treated by them. Without an ego that will constantly question, assess, ‘how would I feel in the other person’s place?’ it would be obvious that one would frequently be unfair, discourteous, or act incorrectly.
“There is now no great secret about our projected functions in the outer universes as they come online and will be inhabited. Our functions there are hardly revealed, but certainly obvious. There, inevitably, you will be dealing with those much lower on the evolutionary rungs. Both, a clear memory of your terrestrial ‘moments,’ and a ‘shining’ and perfected ego will be essential.
“Ego is an indispensable ‘good-for-all-times’ Gift of your Creator Father, Who gives and gives and gives more and more and more and takes nothing away. It is part of the personality that, like so many other personality aspects, must be honed till it is sharp, tuned till it rings true, shined till it glows . . . to be able to present a balanced ego.
