Subject: “What You Call Perfection.”

The Friend: “We are on these mansion worlds supposedly to become more perfect as we go along. We don’t see it that way. What you call perfection, we see as a process of maturation. We don’t have perfection in mind, no, not yet. We take it a step at a time to become more sociable, to become more helpful, to learn, to prepare ourselves for tasks we will be given from now until eternity and that is really something we look forward to — to co-create with our beloved Father-Creator.
“At one stage being of the lowest of his creatures, it is suggested that in the end analysis we will be among the highest of His appointed helpers. For all of us in my morontia home-group, life on the planet has been tough even though for me it was only a relatively short time. However, it gives us the impetus to succeed and do well. It gives us the raw courage to make a success of our lives, many lives, many different morontia lives, and more, that we need to lead to get to Paradise. One thing that I must express, my brother in Christ, there are certainly no deadlines here.
“You can quite do what you want to do, although it is wise to confer with your elders, your brothers and sisters, yes, I mean Angels and Melchizedecs and others. Take your time for any task, any lesson to be learned and any project. There is not that urgency that by sunset, or week’s end you must have certain things completed. I like that. Pressure is gone of having clothes ironed and food cooked in time. There is little pressure here and you will find that you will be equipped with a mind that just won’t let you forget.
“You will learn how to register and compartmentalize the information that you acquire and you won’t have to search for it. It will be there right on the tip of your tongue whenever you require it. That is about all I am allowed to say to you two. I thank you kindly for your invitation to visit you on this important day. We all love you. Goodbye.”
Receiver’s notes: My departed friend was a wife and mother. She was busily cooking an evening meal and laughing at her husband’s jokes. She suffered a massive stroke and fell on her tiled kitchen floor. Moments later she was dead. She left behind two young children and a husband who has never yet gotten over the shock of losing her almost 30 years ago.
The day, October 31, was special to all.

Teacher Ophelius: “Dear One, the question has been asked about the purpose and importance of ‘Stillness’ meditation and how it differs from the practice of ‘mindfulness’ — a popular method used by many in western culture to focus the mind on present awareness. There are many forms of meditation used by men and women around the world and each produces varying benefits depending on the intention used when participating in the practice. The one unifying benefit is that meditation brings the mind into a state of ‘true consciousness,’ meaning: It has a grounding effect to release the mind from material concerns, emotional distresses, and the circumstances of time related activities, bringing awareness to the present moment — to experience a state of simply ‘being.’ Stillness however, has an intention and goes beyond this static state of present moment awareness and brings consciousness into a more unified state with the Indwelling Spirit of the Creator.
“An atheist can benefit from mindfulness meditation as can any other person having the intention that there are therapeutic benefits to be had from the practice — there is no faith or religious beliefs necessary to bring consciousness into a more pure state. Once in this place of present-centered awareness, consciousness itself first begins to connect to the conscious state of its most intimate companion — the body, which has its own consciousness — in every cell, every tissue, every organ. The body continually ‘broadcasts’ its needs to your consciousness. However, because of mind chatter, clutter, material and emotional distresses and distractions, the internal ‘voice’ is vanquished and the mind pays no attention until the body ‘screams’ using pain to get your immediate attention.
“It is a known fact that persons who practice any form of meditation or mindfulness will begin to pursue a healthier lifestyle because they unknowingly are ‘hearing’ the voice of their body’s consciousness and shall begin doing those things that bring vitality to the total system — mind, body, and spirit. Whether or not they acknowledge the ‘spirit’ as a part of their total system does not prevent them from the benefits of communicating with their Indwelling God Fragment at some level. Intention, dear one, is the key to opening up a channel with the spirit part of your system.
“Stillness meditation has an intention and recognition of the ‘primary relationship’ — the parent/child relationship between you and the Universal Father. When you enter into stillness, you open your mind and remove all barriers, conditions, and concerns, and extend your faith as the hand that reaches up to God while you wait in silence for the ‘handshake’ of God reaching down to you. In this period of ‘waiting’ in silence, many insights and discoveries may be experienced as your thoughts thin and your mind becomes quiet.
“Eventually, and with enough practice and perseverance, your mind shall come into a place of pure consciousness like a placid lake — there is a state of unity — a handshake with God. Many who reach this place are actually startled by it and immediately break away from it as it is something that has never before been experienced. Once this moment of pure consciousness has been attained, the meditator shall be encouraged to try again and again, each time extending the period of unity. This place of pure consciousness is beyond all words and understanding, yet to experience it, brings healing on many levels and builds faith in the assurance of eternal life as a child of God.

The Beloved One: “Dear one, allow yourself to be totally centered in Me, with no outward thoughts intruding. Feel a holy hush enveloping you, enfolding you, flowing through you. Realize that they are My emanations from within you, which you can only feel when you are totally at rest in My Being as I saturate you with My presence. I saturate you right now, even though you are not aware of this. Oh yes, you sense/feel My incredible Peace somewhat, and this will increase when your awareness of Me grows and you are beginning to ever so slowly feel so incredibly peaceful and unconditionally loved. As you increasingly begin trust this process of coming into My presence without any expectations or hidden agenda on your part, with only your longing to be with Me, this is enough for you to realize My presence, which is always here, but which you are too busy to notice.
“Allow yourself the luxury of making the time, or even at any time coming into My presence when you feel a need to be with Me to have your soul nurtured towards a full awareness of Me. And with time, your awareness of My reality in you progresses and grows, so that I Am more often in your conscious awareness during your daily comings and goings. You will then have grown accustomed of My being a part of you, and that we 'travel hand in hand' the highways and byways of life, that eventually nothing worries or deters you, because you have realized that I Am with you forever. And, dear one, this precious life, which you are living here on earth, will be the shining foundation of all future ages to come.
“You shall climb into glory with Me and together we shall have many adventures in spiritual growth, for this growth will ever expand and increase in the ages to come, when we shall fuse together as one. How is that for My plan for you? Can you even begin to imagine, child, what this would be like, to fuse with a Fragment of God? I can tell you right now, that your earthly imagination falls far short of this incredible moment in your eternal career. Feast your heart, soul and mind upon this realizable goal in your eternal future with Me. Print this in your very DNA, that you are a beloved child of God. The eternal God, who desires to be so intimately involved with all His mortal children, that He sent a part of Himself to indwell each one of you.”

Thought Adjuster: “Dear one, you cannot understand all the things that are happening to you, nor are all the things that happen to you joyful. However, when you hand to Me all your situations — ‘good and seemingly not so good’ — when you trust fully in My living presence in your life and you rest in Me — that suffering caused by some situations will eventually become peace.
“As you increase your faith and trust in Me, you will have more peaceful times in your life. This is your main goal on this earth: that even during the times of difficult circumstances happening on your path, you can be at peace, a peace that only arises from the absolute trust in Me — in My love for and My protection of each one of you.
“Abandon yourself in My love, and trust Me. This trust will be the light so that other people can also trust and live in peace.
“Your personal testimony of faith, and the miracles that will appear on your path, will be the light that illuminates the paths of many people around you.

Thought Adjuster: “On a world where you are constantly exposed to images that promote financial success, wealth and material goods as expressions of happiness, you always need to come back to your center and consider the things that are truly valuable from the viewpoint of eternity.
“Wealth and poverty are two extreme social situations in the lives of human beings on this world. Wealth and poverty have nothing to do with the value of a person, nor his or her status in the eyes of the Creator. These conditions are entirely material and transitory. The fact of one being rich or poor does not affect one’s spiritual progress. Your decisions in life determine the level of your advance towards the purpose of your life.
“Many among you desire wealth as a resource that can be used to help others. However, material things are irrelevant when you want to offer loving service to your peers. Some dream about using a fortune they don’t possess to solve the problems of the world — hunger, social inequality, wars, and more. Still, not one person can solve these problems because they depend on the collective decisions of many. These problems will start to disappear only when the majority of the population achieves significant spiritual progress. The great challenges facing this world will be resolved when all decide to be the best they can be. This is a global task, not an individual one.
“However, can a person make a difference? Of course! The great changes this world needs will always begin in every individual’s heart. Each one of you has the responsibility to search within for inspiration and guidance to be increasingly perfect. This is the purpose of your existence. Each soul that is gained ‘for the Kingdom of the Father’ is one more step in the right direction.
“Your individual effort to follow the Father’s will turns the tide a little bit more towards the age of Light and Life on this world. All you can do to inspire your peers to play their part in this magnificent task is a contribution to the cause of truth, beauty and goodness. Each word, gesture, intent, decision or action offered in the spirit of living your Father’s Will and expressing His unconditional love through you, always has a positive impact and contributes to create the reality you desire — the establishment of the government of God among men.”
