Subject: “Are you a Seeker of the Spirit?”

Trinity Teacher Uteah: “When you dedicate time for engaging your Indwelling Spirit, Guardians, and guidance teams, they show up and attempt to work with you to achieve any needful thing that will bring you closer in alignment with the divine plan for your life. Sometimes students feel that they need to recharge their “spiritual batteries” and will plan a spiritual retreat to dedicate a specified period of time for intense spiritual engagement that would otherwise not be experienced during the normal course of living. These can be life changing events that nourish the soul and strengthen your relationship with Spirit. Sometimes it takes keeping an appointment with Spirit to realize the benefits of a spirit-led life.
Have you ever wondered how a “master” of any art, music, or physical discipline acquires his or her abilities to become outstanding above most others? If asked they would tell you that it takes time, dedication, passion, and practice engaging the core study — developing excellence. This is also true for developing a relationship with Spirit. Many will say that they want a more immersive and heart-felt experience with Spirit, but really have no idea where to begin? As above, so below.
If you had the passion to learn to play the violin, how would you go about getting started? You would first make the commitment to learn by investing in a violin. Then, you might seek out information; listen to violin music; and perhaps search for a teacher that can accelerate your learning? You would then be accountable to a teacher for practicing some rudimentary lessons that would give you experience and you would work at this over time, building greater understanding and ability by staying the course. The joy of experiencing progress in your ability brings you back and keeps you engaged. The ultimate satisfaction in playing the violin comes when others find joy in listening to your performance — the beauty they find in the song — the way they feel while in the moment of the performance — that they might also be inspired. To perform with other musicians brings another level of satisfaction and joy.
There are many parallels here that can be applied to a dedicated relationship with Spirit. If you have the passion, you must “invest” in the relationship. Would a teacher-led spiritual retreat help you to get started on a more immersive spirit-led life? This might feel uncomfortable, at first, to consider gathering with others who are looking for a similar experience, but it may be the very thing that you need — to get you outside of your comfort zone. It also provides a safe space with others that do not know you as the accountant, the engineer, or the soccer mom. They see you as a seeker of the Spirit; it puts you on common ground, and it gives you and them the opportunity to share your very intimate spiritual experiences and aspirations without judgment. These events may also foster new relationships with kindred spirits that can last a lifetime.
In your afterlife on the mansion worlds, you will experience many such teacher-led spiritual retreats where you will learn in groups and then have time alone to contemplate the lessons with your Thought Adjuster and Destiny Guardians, and later have discussions with Morontia Companions. These events are meant to prepare you for an ascendant life — an eternal life of service and adventure. Your life on Urantia is meant to prepare you for an ascendant life on the mansion worlds, and so does it not make sense to orient yourself in this way of gathering with others and sharing your unique experiences?

George: “I think I might have offended you when last we spoke.”
The Scribe: “In all the time I have known you, which is many years longer than you have known Me, you have never offended Me. You see, as a Child of the All-that-Is in all of His universes, I can no more be offended by you than can He or can Michael. It is for the Gods to know the very reason why you do what you do, or say what you say, before you do it or say it. Yes, and even if you meant to offend us, we just could not be offended.
“You see, my friend, we created the space-time playground and placed you all in there to have you experience mortal life. You cannot know what we know, you must find out in time and We, Thought Adjusters, at least for a time, experience life with you. For all of you, in time, to be just like us is what we aim for and meanwhile we simply take what we get: no offence. The Gods are your true examples in life — all loving, understanding and patient.
“It is my deeply-felt view that in both, our 11:11 Progress Group publications and our private conversations, the mention of the sordid Lucifer Rebellion has been, hmm . . . done to death. And yes, life on this planet is tough. And as you often say; ‘we know this already,’ and I acknowledge that, too. Still, the rewards are commensurately in line with the toughness of existing on this planet. So, let us say this is Urantia, unlike any other sweet and happy world and let’s see if we all will make it or break it.
George: “OK. Just take it as it comes.”
The Scribe: “Precisely. I assure you that this planet is seen by many deeply involved celestials as one of the most successful nurseries to produce useful eternal lives and that many, truly many spiritual giants with their Urantia ‘birth certificates’ (He made receiver laugh) are on their way to becoming the most valued Advisors, Princes, Ambassadors and Helpers of the deep-space universes the Father will populate. You will one day have nothing but praise for the accidental testing ground that was Urantia.

Subject: “An Offering to the Father.”

Thought Adjuster: “What is better — to adapt to the situation you face, or to ‘dream’ of being somewhere else? Which alternative do you think will produce immediate and long-term results? Undoubtedly, being present is always the best choice. When your attention is focused on where you are and on the task at hand, you are more likely to find solutions and learn something.
In this world, monotony is often a characteristic of many occupations. Many people, driven by the need to survive, have resigned themselves to doing the first thing they found to make a living, not necessarily what they had a natural inclination or talent for. However, everyone is capable of achieving success in life by meeting their material needs while working toward spiritual growth, regardless of what they do for a living.
But if you find yourself in a line of work that neither stimulates nor motivates you, it’s worth remembering a few things. First, everything you do by giving the best of yourself and investing your best skills and talents will inevitably produce good results. Second, anything you undertake with wisdom and with the desire to serve your fellow beings will always be a good action that positively impacts all of creation. The third point follows directly from the previous one, since everything you do with the intention of doing good for others is a service to the Father, and everything you do for the Father brings spiritual benefits, rewards of eternal value.
I suggest that you change your way of thinking a little, so you can discover the great things you can do right where you are, doing what you are already doing. Instead of dreaming up fantasies in which your work is exactly what you want — when in fact you don’t even have a clear idea of what that is — focus on what you can do today to express the best of yourself through your work. Think about how you can turn your talents, what you’ve learned, and your passion into an offering to the Father and a service to humanity. In this way, before long, you’ll see your work take on a new dimension and you’ll find a more lasting and genuine satisfaction in what you do. This is the key to a happy life filled with true fulfillment — mastering the art of turning every situation that arises into an opportunity to serve the Father and express the best of your personality.”

The Beloved One: “The secret desires of your heart are all known to Me. Your yearning to receive clear guidance from Me shall in due course be realized, depending of course on the time and dedication you invest in coming to Me in your Stillness.
“Jesus said that the Kingdom of heaven is within, but the entrance thereto is through simple trust and prayer. Believe and it shall be opened unto you. This is truly the most beautiful and yet so practical journey to embark upon.
“This journey shall bring you increasing peace of mind, healing balm for the emotionally distraught heart, and joy to the soul. There, a song shall be composed to glorify the Giver of life, the Sustainer, the Creator and Upholder of all things and yet unmade.
“It is He, who sets you free from your baser creature tendencies, like intolerance, impatience and selfishness. These and more shall fall away, and a more loving altruistic personality shall develop to be used in the service of humankind.
“Pray for more insight, pray for more understanding, and not just for yourself, but for all others you may come into contact with. It is My desire that you develop a strong and fragrant personality, which is not swayed by any outside influences, because you are finally realizing that I am the safest, purest and unconditionally loving Guide indwelling you.
“Dedicate yourself to listening more carefully, so you will develop the desire of your heart to become a pure channel for My teachings, rather than relying on your imagination, and what you may think you are perceiving.
“Be pure, be real, be sincere and honest of heart, for this is what I require of you.”

Subject: “From Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving.”

Thought Adjuster: "The celebration of Thanksgiving has been declared an official ‘holy-day’ in some countries, such as Canada and the USA. The date may vary, but the underlying intention is the same. Families and friends gather to break bread and partake of the abundance of a lovingly prepared meal.
The entire population focuses on expressing heartfelt gratitude for life’s manifold blessings. Yet from your down-to-earth perspective, you cannot fathom the magnitude of the positive vibrational ripple effect it unleashes. When hearts open in gratitude, they simultaneously become receptive cornucopias for more spiritual abundance.
Gratitude is an emotional booster that, when practiced collectively, exerts a powerful synergy. Sadly, many among you only practice it consciously on special occasions. What about the remaining days of the year? Your annual Thanksgiving celebration could act as a heart primer and be turned into a daily routine of spiritual hygiene. Then, how much transformation would you witness in your life from giving thanks to giving thanks?
Commit to being more prolific in your thanksgiving. It would become a powerful catalyst for the reformation of your inner world, as gratitude cannot cohabitate with grudges or resentment. It is an ‘either-or’ type of situation. You are all well-practiced in the ‘or’ case scenario and have suffered from its many adverse effects in your personal and relational well-being.
Express thanks for all the highlights of your life—past, present, and future. Yes, do include the future in your expression of appreciation, as it holds the promises of many more reasons to be thankful. As well, by doing so, you take the driver’s seat of your destiny, programming your God Positioning System toward a carefully selected sunny destination. Such is the sustainable quality of thanksgiving—a premium emotional fuel."
